NC man dies days after shootout with robbers
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - A North Carolina man wounded in a shootout with robbers at the convenience store where his wife worked has died. The Moore County sheriff's office told multiple media outlets that 78-year-old Angus Eugene Kelly died Friday at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

Trial delay for IL man charged with killing family
WATERLOO, Ill. (AP) -- A judge has delayed until next year the trial of a southwestern Illinois man charged with strangling his wife and two sons. St. Clair County Circuit Judge Milton Wharton posted an Oct. 25 trial date until January or February Christopher Coleman.

Coroner: Swimmer dies in suburban Chicago race
CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. (AP) -- Authorities say a 58-year-old swimmer competing in a race died in the northwestern Chicago suburb of Crystal Lake. The McHenry County coroner's office identified the man as John Sloan of Lake Forest.
