SYDNEY (Thomson Financial) - The number of jobs advertised in Australia's major metropolitan newspapers and on the Internet surged by 7.1 percent in December from November to an average of 274,653 per week, Australia & New Zealand Banking Group's (ANZ's) monthly survey showed Monday.
