Thai stocks gained 1.29% yesterday on growing optimism that the US sub-prime mortgage crisis may be easing. Thursday's move by the US Federal Reserve to cut interest rates by 0.25 percentage points, together with easing pressure on oil prices, also helped spur sentiment.
