LONDON (Dow Jones)--The U.K. pound fell sharply against other major currencies Monday on fresh concerns about the country's banking industry, prompted by news that the U.K.'s largest buy-to-let mortgage lender Bradford & Bingley (BB.LN)is receiving a GBP400 million capital injection.
